Donna & Phil welcome you to the Rising Sun. We aim to give you a fantastic experience incorporating modern & traditional dining. The Rising Sun has been the heart of Frampton Cotterell for decades. It is one of the few rare independent Real Ale houses left in Bristol.

Food has now become an important part of the reputation at the Rising Sun. Head chef Russel Vobes & second chef Mary Kneebone design the Menu with the help of manager Philip McCann, which changes seasonally, and also create daily Specials to try out new flavours.

The Rising Sun has now become the Brewery Tap, showcasing our own ales brewed at The Great Western Brewing Company (GWB) just down the road at Hambrook.
